We are authorized warranty representatives for many manufacturers and all of our technicians are TSSA licensed gasfitters. Our staff also regularly attends training courses from specialized manufacturers like Newco, Blodgett, Pitco and Sureshot.

We are also affiliate members of the Commercial Food Equipment Service Association

Our Reputation

Our company began in 1970 as WD Appliances at 34 Dalhousie St. in Brantford. With a focus on small appliances, the company grew by leaps and bounds. In 1972, a move to 43 Colbourne St. was accompanied by a name change; WD Appliances became Barber's Appliance Services. 1974 saw the opening a second location at 224 King St. W in Hamilton.

In 1985, the decision was made to focus exclusively on commercial kitchen equipment and the Hamilton location became Barber's Restaurant Equipment Repairs (moving to 207 Ferry St.). Barber's Appliance Services in Brantford was sold. Focusing on commercial equipment proved the right decision and the company expanded during the 80s and 90s before finally outgrowing their location on Ferry St. In 2004, Barber's moved to 927 Barton St. E (formerly the Aquarium Restaurant) where it remains today.

As we've expanded throughout the years, we've built on our customer base by providing prompt and efficient service at reasonable rates. This business model, along with the trust we've built with our customers, is why we've been around for 40 years and why we keep on growing.
